The Eden Philosophy

The purpose of the Eden Alternative is to provide an alternative philosophy to the current dominant clinical model of providing aged care. Where clinical care is promoted as the focus for life of an aging person, life can become sterile and boring. The Eden Alternative is about ensuring the aging process is fun, empowering and friendly.
Eden Farm
Although the theories behind Eden are quite detailed, the basic principles which Wellington Park Private Care has embraced are as follows:

Our Eden Vision is to eliminate the loneliness, helplessness and boredom from the lives of our treasured Elders by:

  • Increasing elder choice
